Turunç is a small coastal resort town on the shores of a beautiful bay, located in Marmaris County, in a beautiful bay south-west of the city itself at a distance of twenty kilometres. The natural lagoon is framed by steep cliffs, and the beautiful sandy beach in Turunca Bay is five hundred metres long.

The climate here is very dry, much drier than in Marmaris; the average humidity does not exceed 40-50%. Within sight in the sea is a large island, which reliably protects the bay from storm winds and large waves - they simply do not happen here.

In Turunca you can have a wonderful holiday and enjoy amazing beaches, sun and sea. The sea is gorgeous and shimmers in all shades of blue: the water is absolutely clear, so that you can see the bottom for four metres, if not more, and it is salty enough to stay on the water without too much effort. The beach consists of imported coarse black sand. You will have to walk into the sea on smooth, large stones. Turunch has been awarded the European Blue Flag certificate for the amazing cleanliness of its beaches and sea.

You can swim here most of the year, as the water and air temperatures never drop below 15° C, even in the winter months.

The town, when viewed from above, has a tricolour scheme: red tiled roofs, white and cream facades and greenery. It is also home to a small seaport. The sun rises over the sea and sets behind the mountains, so sunset here is early, but not quick.

On the slopes of the mountains and hills are mostly pine trees, and in the village itself - pomegranates, olives, magnolias, figs and palm trees. Here, unlike Marmaris, there are not so many flowers. The air here is the cleanest, and in the evening smells of tar. This area also had a huge number of fruit trees, and the names of the villages come from the varieties of citrus fruits.

Life in Turunch is sustained by the stopping of yachts and boats that require minor repairs and replenishment of provisions for travelling. Many yachts and boats anchor at night near restaurants full of visitors.

The village has a promenade, followed by a central shopping street. On it there are minimarkets, a couple of dozen shops with beach accessories, souvenirs, leather clothing, jewellery and fruit-sweets. It can not be called a full-fledged shopping, but everything necessary for a complete holiday is here. Along the seafront there are small two-storey hotels and cafes, the prices in which are quite high.

The underwater world of this area is amazing and diverse. There are quite a lot of caves and rocky ledges underwater. You can also find opportunities for water sports on the shore as well. However, all sports are allowed here, except those involving motorboats. This rule was introduced to avoid pollution and excessive noise. Diving training is also available.

Fishing enthusiasts will love to visit Turunc, as fishing is very popular here.
