Turkey

Turkey (Turkish: Türkiye), the officiall name is the Republic of Türkiye (Turkish: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti [ˈtyɾcije dʒumˈhuːɾijeti]), is a country located at the juncture of Southeast Europe and West Asia.

Located primarily on the Anatolian Peninsula in West Asia, Turkey encompasses a smaller area known as East Thrace situated on the Balkan Peninsula in Southeast Europe. Its borders encompass diverse geographies, including the Black Sea to the north, Georgia to the northeast, and Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Iran to the east. To the southeast lies Iraq, while the south is bordered by Syria and the Mediterranean Sea. To the west, Turkey is flanked by the Aegean Sea, with Greece and Bulgaria lying to the northwest. Off its southern coast sits the island of Cyprus.
