Tuan Chau Island is considered the finest seaside resort in Halong Bay. Halong Bay is not only a first-class modern resort, but also a rare natural wonder and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. More than three thousand islands of the bay, as well as rocks and cliffs, grottoes and caves form an unusually beautiful landscape, the only one of its kind on the planet.

The most popular island is Tuan Chau. In addition to its recreational appeal, the island has a rich history. Tuan Chau is the only earthen island in the bay and was inhabited thousands of years ago. This is evidenced by the fragments of the oldest structures of Halong culture found by archaeologists from three to five millennia old. In the Middle Ages, the island was used as a watchtower - to protect the bay from uninvited guests from the sea. Later it served as a military and customs post. In the post-war period on the island loved to holiday Ho Chi Minh, here remained his residence.

The impulse to develop the infrastructure of the island and turn it into a tourist attraction, was the construction of a bridge from the mainland - in the early 2000s.

Today Tuan Chau is known for beautiful tropical forests and beaches with white sand. From anywhere on the island you can admire the ethereal scenery of the bay. The dolphinarium hosts regular shows with dolphins and seals. For golfers there is a park with manicured lawns. A diverse underwater world of the bay awaits scuba diving enthusiasts. And the musical fountain with laser illumination is recognised as the favourite entertainment of the island's guests.
