Vietnam

Vietnam (Vietnamese: Việt Nam), stands as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnamese: Cộng hòa Xã hội chủ nghĩa Việt Nam), nestled on the eastern edge of mainland Southeast Asia, with an area of 331,700 square kilometers (equivalent to 128,100 square miles).

To the north, Vietnam is connected by land borders with China, while its western boundaries neighbor Laos and Cambodia. Along its maritime borders, Vietnam shares proximity with Thailand through the Gulf of Thailand and the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia through the South China Sea.
