Located on the steep escarpment of the Zambezi River, Chisarira National Park is an undeveloped game reserve. Numerous specimens of wildlife, including the black rhino, can be found here. The unspoilt park with its rather lush vegetation sometimes makes it difficult to see the terrain and spot animals. This park is for the true enthusiast who can discover true wild and unspoilt nature and its beauty. The park is best explored with a guide. There are several tourist camps along the escarpment, mainly where the mountain springs run dry and offer spectacular views of the mountain crevasses. The park is open all year round, but it is recommended that tourists use a four-wheel drive vehicle to reach the escarpment in the rain.
