Matusadona National Park is located on the wild southern shore of Lake Kariba, and is accessible by road from Karmi or (more conveniently) by water from Kariba (Tashinga Kemp, 48 kilometres southwest of Kariba, Changachirere Kemp 26 kilometres south-southwest), Sanyati West and three other towns. Development in this region has been deliberately held back so that visitors can savour the atmosphere of unspoilt Africa. Both camps are provided with running water and bathrooms, and comfortable accommodation is available at two other specialised tourist camps. Matusadona has become popular because it offers tourists the rarest opportunity to observe wildlife from both land and water. Companies offering safari tours organise unforgettable safaris to the region.
