The main museum building in the eastern region (Manicaland) houses a large collection of antiquities as well as early forms of modern technology. The 'transport' exhibition characterises quite clearly the history of the development of this sector in the country, while the private collections feature animal and plant forms characteristic of the eastern regions, as well as characterising the culture of the local peoples. The Dziwa ruins, the Nyanga mines and the Tovechipi tomb are just some of the many cultural monuments in the region.
