San Gimignano

San Gimignano (Italian pronunciation: ; named after St. Geminianus) is a small walled medieval hill town in the province of Siena, Tuscany, north-central Italy. Certaldo (Italian pronunciation: ) is a town and comune (municipality) of Tuscany, Italy, in the Metropolitan City of Florence, located in the middle of Valdelsa. It is about 35 kilometres (22 mi) southwest of the Florence Cathedral (50 minutes by rail and 35 minutes by car from the city), and 40 minutes by rail north of Siena.

Piazza della Cisterna is a piazza in San Gimignano, Italy. It is triangular with a slight natural slope, and is connected to the nearby Piazza del Duomo by an open passage. The pavement is made of brick, and the piazza is surrounded by houses and medieval towers.
