Hatsushima

Hatsushima (初島) is an island in Sagami Bay, Japan. Administratively, it is part of the city of Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture, from which it can be reached by ferry. The island is approximately 10 kilometers from the ferry landing in downtown Atami. The island is inhabited, with the population mostly residing on the northern side of the island. As of 2018, the island had a population of 193 people in 114 households.

The MOA Museum of Art (エムオーエー美術館, MOA Bijūtsukan) is a private museum in the city of Atami, Japan. The museum is the third museum established to house the art collection of Mokichi Okada, the founder of the Church of World Messianity (世界救世教, Sekai Kyūseikyō), and was founded in 1982. The first museum, the Hakone Museum of Art (ja), was established in 1952 and is still in operation; the second museum, the Atami Museum of Art, was established in 1957 and is the predecessor of the museum.

Shuzenji Romney Railway

The Shuzenji Romney Railway (ロムニー鉄道, Romney Railway) is a 1 km, 15 in (381 mm) gauge ridable miniature railway located in Niji-no-Sato (Rainbow Park) in Izu, Shizuoka, on the Izu Peninsula in Japan. It is Japan's first 15-inch gauge railway. It is based on the English Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway on the English Channel coast in Kent, which opened in 1927. The railway operates using a mixture of steam and diesel locomotives and enclosed saloon carriages. Its primary two steam engines were built by the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway in Cumbria, England, and are based on that line's 1976 Northern Rock 2-6-2 steam locomotive. Its No. 2 locomotive Ernest W. Twining was acquired from the Fairbourne Railway in Wales when that line converted to 12+1⁄4 in (311 mm) gauge. There is also a small 15-inch gauge railway museum.
