Terra Cotta Building

Terra Cotta Building is a historic office building and display center located at Alfred in Allegany County, New York. It was built in 1892 by the Celadon Terra Cotta Company. It is a one-story, 16-foot-wide (4 m), 25-foot-deep (7 m) building built almost entirely of bricks, ornamental terra cotta, and roofing tiles manufactured by Celadon. The building was designed as a sales office for the company, and was considered a "catalog" of their work. A replica was erected at the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The building was the only remaining structure after a fire broke out on August 29, 1909 and destroyed the Alfred factory of the Ludowici-Celadon Company.

Alumni Hall

Alumni Hall, also known as Chapel Hall, is a historic multipurpose building located on the campus of Alfred University at Alfred in Allegany County, New York. It is a large frame structure built in 1851–1852 with what has been described as Alfred's most important Greek Revival features. The three-story, 52-foot-wide (16 m) by 102-foot-long (31 m) rectangular structure has a red terra cotta roof. Designed and built by Maxson Stillman, it features a one of a kind 12 foot pine weathervane in the shape of a quill pen. It was the fourth structure built for the Alfred Academy and housed a chapel, auditorium and lecture, recitation, library and lyceum rooms for college and community use. It is now used primarily to house the Admissions Department.

Allen Steinheim Museum

The Allen Steinheim Museum is a historic building and former museum located on the campus of Alfred University at Alfred in Allegany County, New York. It is a crenellated stone structure built from 1876 to 1880 to house the "mineral, geological, natural, and man-made curiosities" of Alfred University's second president Jonathan Allen. The building was originally started by Professor Ida Kenyon, who wished to make a private residence that resembled the castles of her native Germany.
