Cabo Verde

Cabo Verde, also known as Cape Verde, officially termed the Republic of Cabo Verde, represents an archipelago and island country nestled in West Africa within the central Atlantic Ocean. Comprising ten volcanic islands, it spans a combined landmass of approximately 4,033 square kilometers (1,557 square miles). Positioned between 600 and 850 kilometers (320 and 460 nautical miles) to the west of Cap-Vert, which stands as the western extremity of continental Africa, these islands constitute a vital segment of the Macaronesia ecoregion. This region includes the Azores, the Canary Islands, Madeira, and the Savage Isles.
