Kõrvemaa Landscape Reserve is famous for its picturesque landscapes, fascinating nature and the diversity of animal and plant life. This area is located on the northern coast of Estonia. There is an observation tower at the top of the hill, from which you can see the whole territory of Kõrvemaa at once. The view is magnificent in the autumn season, when you will see a wide variety of autumn colours.

There are more than a hundred lakes in the nature reserve, among which there are completely wild, and there are some that are looked after by the local government. The Soodla River is a favourite with fishermen, while the forests around Paunküla are a paradise for mushroom pickers, where one can pick a large number of ceps, pears and chanterelles.

Beaver dams are often found on the Valgejõgi River, and it is also possible to take a canoe or kayak for hire and take a trip on the river. For beginners, of course, the easier route is suitable, while more experienced paddlers can choose a 2-3 day route, reaching the sea at the end of the trip.

About 23 species of various orchids are found in the sanctuary. Rare species of birds, birds that come here to breed include the golden eagle, black stork, lesser spotted eagle, black stork, and spotted eagle. In autumn, many photographers come here to take beautiful pictures, to catch an animal in the lens, many photographers come here.
