Spain

Spain (Spanish: España), officially known as the Kingdom of Spain (Spanish: Reino de España), stands as a nation situated in Southwestern Europe, encompassing regions that extend into the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, and Africa.

Recognized as the largest country in Southern Europe, its vast expanse covers most of the Iberian Peninsula and incorporates the Canary Islands in the Atlantic, the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean, along with the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla in Africa. Geographically, the northern borders of Peninsular Spain meet with France, Andorra, and the Bay of Biscay, while the eastern and southern frontiers face the Mediterranean Sea and Gibraltar. To the west, its boundary meets Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean.
