For thirteen Odessa months he created the poem "Gypsies", finished the poem "Bakhchisarai Fountain", wrote thirty lyric poems and two and a half chapters of the novel "Eugene". and a half chapters of the novel "Eugene Onegin". The street where the great poet lived, formerly called Italianskaya Street, was renamed Pushkinskaya Street in 1880.
