Comox Air Force Museum

The Comox Air Force Museum collects, preserves, interprets and exhibits artifacts relating to CFB Comox, its squadrons and its units. The museum is located at the main gate of CFB Comox, located in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The museum opened its doors in the current location 12 September 1987. In addition to the exhibits, the museum has an aviation reference library and an aviation art gallery. The Heritage Air Park where the aircraft are on display is located 500 metres down the road from the museum as is the Y2K Spitfire restoration hangar.

Lazo Wildlife Park

Lazo Wildlife Park is a protected area on eastern Vancouver Island in the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD). It lies at the north end of Lazo Marsh and its entrance is at the end of Sand Pines Drive in Comox. Part of the park lies on the Comox Sandhills in which the forest contains a large proportion of Shore Pine. Douglas-Fir, Western White Pine and Western Red Cedar are prominent among the other tree species present. Bird life is dominated by nesting populations of ducks and geese. Soils in the area were mapped in 1959 as Arrowsmith peat and Kye-Custer complex of rapidly to imperfectly drained sandy podzols.

Sid Williams Theatre

The Sid Williams Theatre is a performance theatre in the Comox Valley, Canada. It is in downtown Courtenay, British Columbia. The theatre was first called 'The Gaiety Theatre' in the 1920s. It was then called 'The Bickle Theatre' in the 1930s. It was originally opened as a movie theatre. The stage of the Bickle Theatre was used for plays and musical events before it became an auction house. In 1998, the theatre closed for extensive renovations and earthquake upgrading. The current technical director is Patrick Emery; he has won numerous lighting design awards for his work with the Courtenay Little Theatre. The Sid Williams Theatre created The Blue Circle Series in 2019, a series of online and live concerts spanning from September to early June annually, showcasing professional talent from all over Canada. Blue is the colour of inspiration. The circle celebrates inclusion. It represents the infinite nature of energy. It symbolizes the cycles of time, and the movements of seasons. The circle is sacred to many cultures, and beckons the viewer to be drawn in, like a spotlight on stage.
