West Lake

The West Lake (Chinese: 西湖; pinyin: Xīhú; Wu Chinese pronunciation: ) is a freshwater lake in Hangzhou, China. Situated to the west of Hangzhou's former walled city, the lake has a surface area of 6 km2 (2 sq mi), stretching 3 km (2 mi) from north to south and 2 km (1 mi) from east to west.
