Finland

Finland (Finnish: Suomi; Swedish: Finland), officially the Republic of Finland (Finnish: Suomen tasavalta; Swedish: Republiken Finland), is a Nordic country in Northern Europe. It shares borders with Sweden to the northwest, Norway to the north, and Russia to the east. The Gulf of Bothnia lies to its west while the Gulf of Finland graces its southern shores, facing Estonia. Finland encompasses an expansive area of 338,145 square kilometers (130,559 square miles).

Kaleva Church

Lutheran Church in Rovaniemi

The Lutheran Church of Rovaniemi was built in 1950 by architect Bertel Lijekvist. The previous church building was destroyed during the war, in 1944. A stone now stands in its place, to the left of the entrance to the new church.
